Charge a fee for Cash on Delivery

Shopify doesn't add fees to payment methods, so the fee goes into a shipping rate.

1. In Settings › Shipping and delivery, add a shipping rate that includes the fee and has "Cash on Delivery" in its name, for example "Cash on Delivery (+Rs 300)".
2. In PayGate, create a rule from Configure cash on delivery fee. It shows Cash on Delivery only when a shipping method containing "Cash on Delivery" is selected.
3. Use Test this rule, then try it at checkout: pick the COD rate and check that Cash on Delivery appears with the fee.

Fees are flat amounts. For tiered fees, add several COD rates with different cart value ranges in your shipping settings.

Hide Cash on Delivery outside your country

1. Create a rule from Hide COD outside your country. Your store's country is filled in for you.
2. Check the payment method name matches your store (for example "Cash on Delivery (COD)"), set the rule to Active and save.
3. In Test this rule, pick another country: Cash on Delivery is marked Hidden.

Show only one shipping method

1. Create a shipping rule from Show only one shipping method.
2. Change "Express" to the name of the rate you want to keep. The rule hides every method whose name doesn't contain it.
3. Check the Preview: only that rate remains (plus the cheapest option, if Shopify requires it).

Block PO box addresses

1. Create a checkout rule from Block PO boxes.
2. Edit the message customers see, set the rule to Active and save.
3. At checkout, enter "PO Box 12" as the address and click Pay: your message appears on the address field.

Set a minimum order value

1. Create a checkout rule from Minimum order value.
2. Set the condition Cart subtotal is less than to your minimum.
3. Edit the message, for example "The minimum order is Rs 5,000", and save. The message appears in the cart and at checkout until the minimum is met.
